Women in Struggle Wins two awards in AlIsmalia International film festival, and an award from Richmond Virginia:
Hussam Ali Award for the best short documentary film from the Egyption Documentary Filmmakers Association. Second , The Jury Mentions as an outstanding film in the short documentary film competition at the 9th Ismalia International Film Festival  in Egypt.
Also, An Award from AMWA  Association of Muslim Women in America 2005 Excellence in Media, Film, and Video award  from Richmond Virginia .

The film got selected to be part of 27th International Film festival of Women and Cinema in Florance italy on 18-24 October 2005.
